£5k raised in big Brighton Breezy success

Around 100 cyclists took to the saddle last weekend for the Brighton Breezy cycle.

The Brighton Breezy 2022 kicked off on Sunday morning (July 24), with three groups of cyclists ready to venture into the Sussex countryside.

Cyclists arrived at the Amex Stadium early in the morning before setting off on one of three routes (40km, 70km, or 110km) through the East Sussex countryside and the South Downs National Park, before returning to the finish line at the Amex that afternoon.

106 people signed up to take part in the challenging cycle while also raising much-needed funds for Albion in the Community.

One of those 106 people was keen cyclist and Albion legend Guy Butters, who was quick to sign up to Brighton Breezy to help support the charity.

In total the Brighton Breezy cycle raised a fantastic sum of £5,035, which will go towards helping AITC to change lives all over Sussex through the power of football.
