AITC ambassadors win PFA Award

AITC ambassadors win PFA Award

Each season Albion in the Community (AITC) are asked by the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) to nominate two players – one from within both senior squads – who deserve praise for their contribution toward the local community.

This year we’re delighted to announce that the respective PFA Community Champions are Adam Lallana and Victoria Williams.

During the season both Adam and Victoria have acted as player ambassadors for Albion in the Community, taking part in online sessions with beneficiaries and using their profile as professional footballers to promote the important work of AITC to help people get active, learn new skills, and live well in our communities.

Matt Dorn, chief executive of Albion in the Community, said, “It is a real pleasure each season to be able to nominate players to receive special thanks for the support they have provided the community.

“I see first-hand how keen Albion players across the men’s and women’s teams are to get involved in helping the local community and it is amazing to see how players can inspire the children, young people and families who attend our sessions.

“We know how important it is for young people to see and hear their sporting role models talk about their own experiences and the influence that this can have on them as they grow up. Congratulations to Adam and Victoria and thank you to all the players who have supported us over the last 12 months.”
