AITC nominated at 7th consecutive Football Business Awards

Albion in the Community has been nominated for an honour in the 2022 Football Business Awards.

AITC has been placed on the short-list for Best Football Community Scheme – the seventh consecutive year that the charity has been nominated for this award.

AITC is one of nine finalists for the award and, should the charity win the award, it would be the sixth time in seven seasons that AITC has won the prize.

The charity was nominated for the prestigious honour alongside the likes of Chelsea FC, Everton in the Community, and Leicester City in the Community.

Brighton & Hove Albion FC have also been nominated for three awards: Best Social Media Team, the Diversity and Inclusion Award, and the Sustainability Award.

The charity and the club will find out the results at the prestigious ceremony in London on 27 May.

Matt Dorn, chief executive officer at AITC, was delighted with the news.

He said: “As chief executive of AITC I am delighted to see both the charity and the football club being recognised at these awards.

“This nomination is a testament to the fantastic work that our staff do in the Sussex community each and every day.”
