Albion youngsters inspire the next generation

Last month, the young Seagulls stars had their first taste of community engagement in the local area, as they visited a Brighton & Hove Albion Soccer Soccer.

Several members of the Albion under-18s squad visited the soccer school at Dorothy Stringer School in Brighton and organised an action-packed session which focused on all the key areas of football, such as shooting, passing and dribbling.

As part of their education programme within the club’s academy, the aspiring footballers are currently earning their coaching badges and thoroughly enjoyed their time with AITC.

“Coming to the soccer school, it brings you back to when you were younger,” Ben Jackson, the under-18s captain, reflected.

“It’s really important because I think in football a big part of it is giving back to the community like this.”

Zak Sturge, who has featured for both the Albion and England at youth level, said that he’s really enjoyed his time at the soccer school and shared how important it is to him to get young children into football.

Following an extremely popular October half-term soccer schools, our camps will be making a return this Christmas in Brighton, Eastbourne, Uckfield, and Worthing.

All children from five to 13 years old, whatever their ability, are welcome to attend our camps where they can receive expert coaching and the opportunity to develop their skills.

Bookings for the Christmas holidays are now open for sessions between the 20 to 23 December.
