PL Kicks award winners get to meet their hero Solly March

Two participants in the Premier League Kicks programme finally graduated after many years with Albion in the Community.

Paddy and Jensen, both of whom played in our Kicks sessions in Worthing, were commended by their coaches for their years of dedication to the programme.

Premier League Kicks is a programme which uses the power of football to inspire young people in some of the most high-need areas in England and Wales, reaching hundreds of thousands of kids every year.

With Paddy and Jensen reaching the upper age limit for Kicks, it was time for them to graduate and move on from the programme.

To thank them for their amazing commitment they were nominated for Kicks Lifetime Achievement awards.

As big Albion fans it was only fitting that Seagulls star Solly March (Paddy’s favourite player) was there to present them with their certificates.

Martin Schooley, our Inclusion Manager, said that Jensen and Paddy are the perfect examples of the Kicks project in action.

“They’ve both come a long way since they first joined us at Kicks,” Martin said.

“They’ve put so much time and effort into the programme and they fully deserve their awards. The pair of them are brilliant examples of what you can achieve if you give Kicks a chance.”
